We love unit blocks because of the mathematical relations between the pieces and because these relations allow for great sturdy builds.
Another reason I love these unit blocks is because you can always add to your block collection by purchasing individual pieces.
Here is a comparison of all the sets.
Beginner Set (32pc): A great set to start with if you just want to try unit blocks out.
Super Saver (82pc): If you’re limited in space, this set includes a good amount of the basic shapes and some more advanced ones. It leaves out the quadruple units and large cylinders.
Advanced Set (85pc): This set has a similar amount of pieces as the Super Saver, but it includes more of the larger pieces. It includes quadruples, more doubles, the large pillars and quarter circle arches.
Small School Set (138 pc): This is the set we currently have. It includes a large amount of the more “basic pieces”.
On Large pieces: Large pieces are great to allow for larger builds. However in our experience (until now) they aren’t used much and I so I have limited the amount of them being out. As always your experience will depend on your specific child, but IMO is good to have this in consideration.
Looking back, I would have bought the advanced set and added about 20 pieces of the single unit (the most used piece in our home, which we usually run out of).

Mini Magnetic Tiles: There are different styles and brands of magnetic tiles included in the main deals list, but these mini version are great to take on the go and we have loved them since 2yo

Multi-use Pencils: You can draw on windows with these (and it’s super easy to clean) aside of being great on paper and turn into watercolor with water!

Portable Potty Seat Adapter: One of our favorite travelling items. We don’t travel without this. It’s compact, easy to clean and super comfortable to use.
Kid’s Kitchen Set: We’ve had this set since 18 months old and we are still using it! These are my daughters preferred knives to work with
Light-up tracing pad: To trace drawing and practice those pencil skills. Great for a drawing and art loving kid (4+)
